Branding is often treated as a deep, comprehensive exercise. Vision, values and long-term positioning are defined before any design work begins. In traditional consultancies that takes months and costs a great deal, which is often justified for larger organisations undergoing significant change. For a dental practice, that level of analysis isn't usually necessary.
At Digimax we come from that world. Our background lies in non-dental branding, where we spent over 20 years with leading UK and international brands. We learnt how large consultancies operate, how they uncover purpose, and how they build identity systems that last decades. When we turned our focus exclusively to dentistry, we brought that expertise with us, refined to suit the real-world needs of practice owners.
What a full brand consultancy typically costs, often over several months.
Our background in non-dental branding with leading UK and international brands.
Our package range: the same rigour, sized for a dental practice.
After working with hundreds of dental practices, we noticed their core values were remarkably consistent, even where personalities and audiences varied. These aren't marketing slogans. They reflect the lived experience of almost every successful practice, and they underpin patient loyalty, trust and reputation.
A shared pursuit of clinical excellence, patient comfort and long-term oral health outcomes.
Ethical communication and treatment planning that builds patient trust.
Making decisions in the patient's best interest, not purely for commercial reasons.
Calm, welcoming spaces that help patients feel at ease and supported.
Helping patients understand their options and preventative habits, fostering confidence.
Seeing dentistry as an enduring partnership, not a one-off transaction.
The real challenge isn't to find the values, but to translate them into a strong, credible visual identity that patients instantly recognise.
Research from Hinge Marketing echoes this: brand strategy matters most when an organisation's direction or culture is unclear. Where the foundations are already in place, it's more effective to focus on identity and communication tools than on full strategic reinvention.
Defining who you are, what you believe in and how you wish to be perceived, typically through research, workshops and positioning frameworks. In the words of Want Branding, it's "the plan for how you will be different" and "how you'll win in your market."
The visual and emotional expression of that strategy: the logo, colour palette, typography, imagery and tone of voice that make your brand recognisable. This is where a design-led process delivers what your patients actually see and feel.
A full branding process runs through five stages. Not every business needs to start at stage one. Practices with established values and a defined audience can often begin at the identity stage with no loss of quality or meaning.
Who you are, what you believe in and how you wish to be perceived.
The logo, colour palette, typography, imagery and tone of voice.
The templates, files and assets your team can actually use.
Putting the new identity to work across your practice.
Keeping it consistent as the practice grows.
Stage one is usually already in place at a dental practice.
There are occasions where deeper strategic work is genuinely the better path. It clarifies direction, aligns teams and establishes a foundation for growth. That work is not something Digimax provides. We design brand identities; we don't run strategic consultancy programmes.
Brand identity design: the logo, colour palette, typography, imagery and stationery your patients actually see.
Full brand consultancy: research programmes, positioning frameworks and multi-month strategy engagements.
A full consultancy is usually the right call when a practice is:
Two cultures or identities that need unifying into one.
A significant shift, with real confusion around the practice you wish to become.
Investors seeking clarity before expansion.
Multiple sites that need one cohesive strategic framework.
If that's your practice, you need a strategic consultancy. That isn't who we are. Our packages begin where the strategy is already settled.
Rather than removing depth, our process removes duplication, so your team can focus on what patients see and feel, while benefiting from the standards of world-class branding practice.
For most dental practices, brand identity design supported by a focused discovery process is enough to achieve a professional, unified brand presence. For practices in transformation or uncertainty, a full brand consultancy may be the right approach. That is not a service Digimax offers.
Recognising where your practice sits on that spectrum keeps your branding investment proportionate, strategic and effective, producing an identity that truly represents who you are and what your patients already value about you. Our streamlined model keeps the professional rigour and drops the prolonged workshops and theoretical documentation.
We take branding extremely seriously. Our creative director Shaz has more than 15 years' branding experience with some of the country's leading brands. Your long-term plans and the 'voice' you use to attract your audience shape your branding style.
We research, read and get under the skin of what your business stands for and who you wish to appeal to. We design identities that are timeless and sustainable.
We take a tailored approach. Many concepts involve an artist sketching by hand, which is then digitally rasterised for a bespoke result.
We consider the preferences from your branding questionnaire and carefully work on concepts aligned with your objectives.
Shortlist a favourite concept. We'll help if you like more than one. We first agree shape, style and overall feel, then finalise colours.
Constructive feedback is invaluable. Four rounds of revisions are included on your shortlisted concept; on average two are needed. Further rounds on Core and Associate are charged at our standard hourly design rate (allowances vary for Concierge, Recreate and Refresh).
We discourage designing a brand solely around the personal tastes of the principal. Let us guide you to an identity that supports your business plan.
Once your brand style is approved, we send over your Brand Pack: your logo in a variety of formats ready for almost any application.
Changes requested on the logo after this stage will attract a fee.
Each use needs a different format: PNG for watermarks, EPS for sign makers, JPG for Instagram. You get the full suite.
High-res files for sharp print, plus lighter low-res versions for your website, social media and directories.
Commercial printers need CMYK so your logo prints at its best on the press.
Screens use RGB, so your logo looks exactly right on every digital platform.
Included at no extra cost, on request, after approval
